Tuesday Trade #5: February Love Trades

Hello “lovers”!

For the month of February, I will continue to keep Tuesday’s as trade days; however, I’ll be trading something a bit different from what I usually do! In honor of the month of love, I’ll bes haring with you books, movies and websites that focus on love!

So, with that said, this week I’m sharing one of the greatest, most pure love stories of all time. Can you guess what it is?!

It is, of course, A Walk to Remember! I’m sure you have all seen this movie, read the book, or both, but I felt the need to remind everyone of it during this month.

A Walk to Remember is about a religious girl named Jamie who is very much a part of afterschool activities and a boy at the school, Landon. Landon gets into some trouble and his punishment is to participate in some of these activities that Jamie does because she wants to.

 

The two get close, reciting lines for a school play, and making progress with a student he tutors. They end up falling in love, though they are from very different social groups. Once they are in way too deep, Jamie confesses to Landon that she is sick with a terminal disease and that she has stopped taking treatments. They work through this together and you see a very selfless love story unfold. It’s very sweet and will definitely make you weepy. :’(

I have not read the book version of this story, though I’m sure I would thoroughly enjoy it and I plan to get myself a copy soon. I have read several Nicholas Sparks books and have loved them all.

 

So, cuddle up on the couch with this book or movie and you’re sure to feel “lovey” afterwards. Watch it with a loved one to make it even better!
